  1.      Use  POPPRINT  in DOS to fax any non-ASCII file. You run  FAXMAN  then
  2. POPPRINT. Faxman will use EMS if available.

  4. C:\MTEZ>faxman C:\MTEZ>popprint

  6. You  do NOT run MTEZ. From your DOS application (Wordperfect for  example),
  7. You  set up a Printer Driver ( >>>Epson FX85, RX80 or FX80<<< ).  Then  you
  8. press  the  2  <shift> keys which will give a 'beep'. Then PRINT  the  file
  9. with  the  Epson  driver from that application (not  MTEZ).  POPPRINT  will
  10. capture the output, and when done, present a window, ready to fax.

  12.      If the window does not appear, the TEMP directory in SET TEMP= or  SET
  13. TMP=  in  Autoexec.bat  may  not exist (or point  to  a  non-existant  TEMP
  14. directory).  Also  may be TSR problem.  If you get garbage,  you  have  the
  15. wrong Printer Driver in Word Perfect.

  17.      One thing you must also remember, Popprint cannot fax fonts built-into
  18. your printer. Only fonts actually sent TO your printer, or built into MTEZ.

  20.      Popprint  uses  conventional memory only. If you are not going  to  be
  21. using Popprint you may want to remove it, and reload it only as needed.

  24.                          USING FAXMAN

  27. to  recv or send a fax. If you get an Error and it doesn't load  check  the
  28. Faxman Setup
  29.                     C:\MTEZ>setup
  30.  
  31. and  see if the port is set correctly there. When Faxman is loaded  you  do
  32. not have to do anything else to recv a fax. (but you must NOT be in MTEZ in
  33. Data Mode, or AutoAnswer or Host). If Faxman isn't loaded you cannot change
  34. TYPE  in the dialing directory to FAX. If EMS is enabled Faxman  will  load
  35. most of itself there, saving conventional memory.

  37. C:\MTEZ>faxman /r

  39. will  remove Faxman. If you got 1-disk MTEZ you can set RINGs in CAS  setup
  40. to  6  or more, and manually answer fax (when you pick up the  phone)  with
  41. <ctrl><alt>A   hotkey. If you have EMS, faxman will use it if you set  that
  42. feild in SETUP.
  43.      NITELINE  is  used  (after  Faxman) when you will  be  away  from  the
  44. computer  and want faxes printed as they are recv'd. It is not a good  idea
  45. to  use NITELINE during the day (unless the PC is dedicated to fax)  as  it
  46. ties up the PC quite a lot.

  48.      Recv'd faxes are GRAPHICS and may be viewed & printed from  Expressfax
  49. menu.
